The G.N.M (General Nursing and Midwifery) training Course is 3 years of duration with English as the medium of instruction. Apart from theoretical training in class Rooms, the practical hospital training would be of paramount Importance .The course shall also include field training in Community Nursing and Midwifery. The General Nursing and Midwifery program aims at preparing nursing professionals.
One can work at Gov’t & Private Hospitals, private clinics, schools, and Rehabilitation centers as Home care nurse, infection Control nurse, ICU Nurse and OT Nurse. One can also study further for post Basic Nursing (Which would make it equivalent to BSc Nursing) after which they can even work in Educational institutions Besides Hospital.
